The Istanbul Policy Center-Sabancı University-Stiftung Mercator Initiative cordially invites you to a panel discussion titled “The Future of Europe/EU: Institutions, Governance, and Strategies.” The panel will feature 2022 Mercator-IPC Senior Fellow Andreas Nick and IPC Senior Scholar and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabancı University Meltem Müftüler-Baç as speakers. IPC Director and Vice President of Institutional Affairs and Social Impact at Sabancı University Fuat Keyman will moderate the event. The panel will be on Monday, May 23 at 18:00 at Cinema Hall, Sabancı University.

Andreas Nick served as Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and head of the German Delegation to PACE from 2018 until January 2022. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 2013 to 2021, serving as a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and ranking member on the Sub-Committee on the United Nations, International Organisations and Globalisation. During his time in the Bundestag, he was a rapporteur on the UN, the Council of Europe, Turkey, South America, and Hungary. At PACE, he was the first Vice Chair of the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy from 2020–2022 and Vice President of the EPP Group from 2018–2022.
