The “EXPRESS2 - Specify and Protect the EU Social Contract” research project (October 2023 – October 2026), of which Sabancı University is a partner, is selected for funding within the scope of the European Union Horizon Europe program’s democracy calls. Upon multinational interdisciplinary research that will be conducted for three years, policy outcomes will be formulated with the aim of creating a more inclusive, democratic and sustainable new social contract. The project will be coordinated by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Aside from Sabancı University, the other partner institutions are Parc de Recerca UAB, Copenhagen University, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna Pisa, Molde University College, Central European, European Movement International, Dublin City University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and London School of Economics. The Sabancı University project team includes Zeynep Gülru Göker (Principal Investigator), Oya Yeğen, Ayşe Betül Çelik, Cenk Özbay and Kristen Sarah Biehl.
