Mert Moral and his co-authors' firstview article entitled ``Taking Distributions Seriously: On the Interpretation of the Estimates of Interactive Nonlinear Models'' presents two novel methods for calculating and interpreting marginal effects in interactive non-linear models. The article is published in Political Analysis which is ranked 1st out of 182 in Political Science according to the Journal Citation Reports ranking as of 2020.
To illustrate how to calculate, graphically illustrate, and interpret `distribution-weighted average marginal effects,' the article presents a series of replication analyses showing less model-dependent predictions and explaining how and to what extent the proposed methods may lead to differing conclusions. The authors also provide Stata code and an R package ("dame'') to help other scholars calculate marginal effects for various non-linear estimators and employ the proposed approaches in their own research.
