About Prof. Thies: Prof. Cameron G. Thies conducts research in the areas of state-building in the developing world, interstate and civil conflict, international trade, foreign policy analysis, and international relations theory. He has published in a wide array of journals, such as the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of International Relations, World Politics, International Studies Quarterly, and Comparative Political Studies, among others. He has published books with Michigan, Stanford, Oxford, and Routledge. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Foreign Policy Analysis and is currently co-editing the Oxford Handbook of Foreign Policy Analysis. He is the former founding co-Editor-in-Chief of Political Science Research and Methods, and former Editor-in-Chief of Foreign Policy Analysis.
