This course traces the historical development of Turkish social and political thought from 1400’s to the present. Its goal is not to impress upon students a single, predefined, overarching narrative of the history of Turkish social and political thought but, rather, to expose the students to a wide range of primary and secondary works from different historical periods and encourage them to develop their own view.
