This course focuses on identification, analysis and resolution of managerial issues within the context of business firms operating in the EU. Two central themes underpin this section of the course: first, a comparative analysis of British, German and French firms; second, the Multinationals (MNCs), Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and transfer of technology from the EU to other countries or visa versa. The role of the EU firms in the globalisation process; intellectual property rights and FDI; causes and consequences of merger waves; has globalisation changed the rule of the game?
