What is dialectics? What is the importance of dialectics in Marxism? In what sense is literature a laboratory that allow us to explore dialectical thought? This course will concentrate on the assessment of dialectical-thinking- through-literature by Marx and some of the principle theoreticians of Marxism, including Lukacs, Bloch, Benjamin and Adorno.
