CULT 327 Postcolonial Theory and Its Discontents Select Term:
In this course, students will familiarized with post-colonial studies Works that generally examine the ways in which the colonial historical experience and its contemporary counterparts impact peoples' identities and practices will be read. Additionally, materials that discuss the relationship between post-colonialism on the one hand and feminism and post-structuralism on the other hand will be read. The course is designed to enable the students to critically engage with the different empirical and theoretical approaches they will be introduced in the light of their experiences and ideas.
